We’re Coming is an action that brings together several elements to stage an anticipatory presence. The journey on foot of a father and son, Jordi and Teo, from Vic to Barcelona is announced by Eva on the stage of Barcelona’s Antic Teatre. By means of a telephone call, Eva places the audience in contact with the walkers in order to share, if only for a few moments, an experience involving body and territory in the present.
This could be a tale about any one of us. It’s a small gesture of generosity, of empathy, of understanding. With our eyes blindfolded, we must place our trust in whoever is next to us, treading together an unknown path towards new knowledge, towards new ways of relating to people by listening to our senses and their natural rhythms. We’re here, we’re present. Let’s take responsibility as people and help each other. Let’s look after each other. A year and a half after starting up a joint artistic venture, we carried out this action which gives us perspective and awareness of what we have felt and learned together so far.
